LADY ARRAIGNED FOR SELLING BOYFRIEND’S GENERATOR TO BUY HAIR AND CREAMS

A 24-year-old woman, Bimpe Adeite, who allegedly stole a generator valued N70,000 belonging to a male friend, risks three-year imprisonment if found guilty. The court heard that Adeite sold the generator and spent the proceeds on hair and skin creams.

The accused was, on Friday, brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, on a charge of stealing. Her address is unknown.

Akpan Uko, the police prosecutor, told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 26 at No. 13, Adamu St., Itoga, Badagry. He said the generator belonged to Mr. Denis Akanbi, a friend of the accused.

“The accused went to spend time with the complainant, so when he was not around on this particular day, she decided to steal the generator and sell it.

“She spent the money on her hair and cream products,” the prosecutor said.

Uko said the offence was punishable under Section 285 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, Nigeria 2011.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the offence.

Chief Magistrate Jimoh Adefioye granted bail to the accused in the sum of N100,000 and a surety who must provide evidence of tax payment to the Lagos State Government.

He adjourned the case until March 1 for further hearing.

According to the reports by Facebook user, Henshaw Nyong, the incident happened at their home in Mbiabam Ibiono today Monday, 12th February 2018.

Talented Nigerian music artiste, Folarin Falana better known with stage name, Falz The Bahd Guy, has said there’s been a lot of pressure on him to get married.

According to Falz, when Banky W and Adesua got married, he took a thought about his life and said he thinks he will get married anytime soon.

In a recent chat, the rapper mentioned that the number of Nigerian celebrities and other people getting married are making bachelorhood so uncomfortable and he feels it is high time he also walked in that line.

Falz says,

“In recent past, people have been putting me under a lot of pressure to get ready. When Banky W and Adesua got married last year and it almost broke the Internet, it put a lot of pressure on bachelors like me. Everybody is getting married; so, I think it’s high time for me.”

The rapper also talked an accident he encountered back in 2013 – an ordeal he says almost claimed his life.

He says,

“In November 2013, I had a terrible accident. It was a near-death experience and I was in the vehicle with my management team. The accident was caused by an armed robbery. We were on the highway when suddenly the car was shot at. The driver was killed and we ended up in a ditch. I sustained injuries and the visible scars on my body are from that day.

“I really thought it was the end, especially when the driver died and his foot was still on the throttle, making the car to continue moving. As the car was about to crash, I just covered my face and brace for impact. I thought that at least, one should die as a fine boy.

“After the crash, the armed robbers came and ransacked all the bags in the car, looking for money. Today, I continue to remember that incident and I know that God kept me alive for a reason.”

Mr Chinedu Amirinta is a Nigerian pastor who recently escaped tragic death with his family in an accident.

The pastor took to his Facebook page to thank God after his wife, his twins and himself, survived a ghastly motor accident near Benin while on their way to Lagos for the children’s Thanksgiving.

Lady Rejects Man’s Marriage Proposal After He Donated His Kidney For Her. (Photos)

A 49-year-old man who donated one of his kidneys to the woman he loves was filled with joy that he saved her life – but got quite saddened when she said no to marriage.

According to the report by Sunday Mirror, Simon Louis popped the question to Mary Emmanuelle after nursing her back to health. But Mary gently rejected his proposal, though she loved him back, because her health made the future seem uncertain.

 However the pair vowed to remain friends and Simon, 49, said:

And Mary, 41, added:

“He is my very best friend and always will be. The love between us is real. He could have died doing what he did for me.” The pair first met in a London club in the mid-1990s with Mary, then 20, thinking Simon, 28, was “a good-looking bad boy”.

They shared an odd smooch and flirted but things between them never progressed further. Simon, who had other relationships but never lost his feelings for Mary, would think of her on Valentine’s Day and buy her a rose or some chocolates.

Then in September 2014, Mary suddenly collapsed at home after her skin went yellow. She was in a coma for a fortnight after a brain haemorrhage, spent two months in intensive care and was eventually diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease.

Her only hope was a transplant – but the chances of a donor being found were drastically reduced because she had very rare B negative blood. Simon visited her every day, sometimes staying the night, so he could help her get to and from the hospital.

 A few weeks later Simon suggested getting tested to see if he was a match as a donor – and it turned out he was. Then both underwent surgery before helping each other back to health.

Then one night cooking dinner, Simon plucked up the courage and proposed. Mary said:

“I let him down gently by saying I’d have to think about it. I think I’d worry if we got married it would in some way damage our special friendship and also I don’t want to get wed until I’m fully better health-wise.”

Photos: Man Killed By His 8ft Long Pet Python

A man who owned 10 snakes and 12 tarantulas was killed by his 2.4m (8ft) pet python called Tiny, an inquest has heard. 

Animal lover Dan Brandon died of asphyxiation at his home in Hampshire on 25 August last year, Basingstoke Coroners’ Court was told.

Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a verdict of misadventure following the incident with the African rock python. Mr Brandon, a keen snake handler, had owned Tiny since she was small enough to fit in his hand.

A man was killed at home by his own 8ft pet python named Tiny, an inquest has heard. Thought to be the first case of its kind in Britain, a coroner at the inquest in Basingstoke, Hampshire, was told the snake escaped from its case and crushed its owner, 31-year-old Daniel Brandon, to death. Couple named Daniel and Danielle born on same day in same hospital marry 40 years later Coroner Andrew Bradley recorded a verdict of misadventure and said:

‘The most likely scenario is that Tiny was engaged with Dan – I have no doubt about that. ‘She was coiling around him, at which point I have no idea. There was a point at which either she takes hold of him unexpectedly or trips him up or some other mechanism.’ Mr Bradley said the snake then hid, probably ‘because of the shock of him falling or because of his reaction’. Last year the coroner’s office ruled Mr Brandon died of asphyxiation at his home in Church Crookham, Hampshire, on August 25, 2017.

His snake was found hiding in the same room as his body.
